At DPS, we believe in supporting the communities we live and work in, and it has been a privilege to support local charity, Autism Rocks Fife. Based just a short distance from our main office, this multi award winning organisation strives to support children with autism and their families. They host activities and days out, and actively encourage the children to be themselves. The organisation are recipients of a Kingdom DM Award, a Fourth FM Award and a Charity Champions Award, emphasising the importance and impact of their work.
For several years, Autism Rocks Fife has been operating out of a former church building, which served as their base and community centre. As the end of 2024, following fundraising efforts from the local community, the charity were able to purchase the building, securing a long-term base from which they can carry on delivering advice and support to those who need it.
Purchasing the building was just the beginning. Since then the church has underwent a huge overhaul, receiving a full renovation and upgrade, transforming it into a welcoming and functional hub for the charities growing list of activities and services. This is an ongoing process, and local businesses have been critical to the operation, with many contributing time, effort and resources. Everything from new heating systems to a boiler installed by British Gas, from suppliers donating kit to trades helping out, the local community has really pulled together to make this transformation possible.
DPS are proud to play a part in the renovations, helping out with electrical works at the centre. Our team, led by Grant Low, has been on site carrying out electrical works free of charge, ensuring the centre is brighter, safer, and ready for the future.
