Operational Technology Support Engineer

What Are We Looking For?


As part of our continued growth strategy, DPS Group are looking to recruit an Operational Technology Engineer with IT Support background (OT/IT) to join us in our business in Fife. This is a key position for the position, providing 1st and 2nd line support to our customers as well as liaising with delivery teams to ensure project completion to the highest standard.


We welcome applications from candidates with strong IT/software experience and knowledge of Control Systems.


Some of Your Key Duties Include:


  • Provide 1st line support for client network and/or infrastructure issues.
  • Keep all OT/IT procedures, test schedules and other relevant documentation up to date.
  • Review, test and implement new software and services to aid wider business operations.
  • Liaise with Project Management, Department Leads and Engineers to ensure project completion in line with agreed delivery dates.
  • Plan, control, generate and update user Virtual machines and software releases.


What Do You Need?


  • Degree qualified in relevant Engineering IT/OT discipline.
  • Network topologies and OSI model
  • Industrial Networking and CPwE, IMINS or similar standards
  • Windows Server and Client operation systems architectures and features
  • Scripting (PowerShell, JavaScript, or VBA)
  • Virtualization platforms and services
  • Cloud Computing based on Microsoft Azure
  • Industrial IoT services such as Siemens MindSphere, PTC ThingWorx
  • Cyber security concepts and principles like IEC 62443
  • Microsoft 365 from a maintenance and development perspective
